Paula Gammon Wilson - Owner/Director
Paula Gammon Wilson is known for her excellence with managing multinational production teams due to her nearly 25 years experience as a director, production manager, dancer, and voice over artist in North America, Asia, Europe, and South America. She has been described as a "polite perfectionist", who is "patient" and "a joy to work with". With her NY-based company, Pepsqually VO, she has provided flap-adaptation, casting, performance direction, project/production management, and recording/engineering for a wide range of animated series, ad campaigns, pilots, and educational series. Her clients are based in multiple countries around the world.
Paula is a graduate of Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where she was one of the last Design and Production majors. She then went on to attend Pomona College, double majoring in Theater Production and Movement Studies. She was subsequently accepted to the Alvin Ailey Professional Division and moved to New York to dance full time. After completing the program at Ailey, she began working as a union production manager and stage manager in New York, and for regional and touring shows, while also dancing professionally. In 2004, she began working as a voice over artist.
She subsequently earned a degree in Screenwriting from The New School, and then moved overseas. While abroad, she worked as a voice over artist, while also directing musicals and performing in South Korea, Argentina, Italy, the UK, and Dubai. She returned to the US in 2011, and began directing and production managing voice over for cartoon series and pilots, commercials, promos, and educational projects, as well as writing copy for commercials and adapting scripts for animation. She opened Pepsqually VO and Sound Design, in New York City, in the spring of 2014.
Pepsqually VO has since grown from one animated series with seven cast members to regularly employing 80+ actors across several projects. As of late 2020, the children's narrative podcast programs for which Pepsqually VO has provided voice over performance direction, casting, and/or sound design have received eleven Parents' Choice Awards, and the web-based animated projects for which Pepsqually VO has provided voice over direction, casting, and/or sound design, have collectively amassed 900 million views on YouTube.
In early 2020, Paula opened Pepsqually Portugal, LDA. Pepsqually Portugal is dedicated to the incubation and production of children's media by and for minority/marginalized populations. There are currently six projects on Pepsqually Portugal's slate made up of a mix of animated series, podcasts, and documentary projects for ages preschool to teen.
In addition to casting, directing, and project managing all Pepsqually projects across both companies, Paula Gammon Wilson also serves as a freelance voice over performance director, project manager, casting director, and writer for several other production companies in North America and Europe.
